Originally started in Houston, Texas, Lit in Lafayette is a one-day literary event created to highlight the African American literary tradition while also making literature more accessible to the local community. Focusing on the voices of African American women in literature, the event will feature a full day of literary activities and a live poetry experience in the evening.
